Schlumberger Faculty Fellowships 2027 Benefits

The Faculty for the Future program provides significant financial support based on the actual costs associated with the applicant's approved study or research program.

PhD Funding

Women pursuing a PhD can receive up to USD 50,000 per year. Grants may be renewable annually until completion of the degree, provided the fellow continues to meet the program's requirements and demonstrates satisfactory academic progress.

Postdoctoral Research Funding

Postdoctoral researchers can receive up to USD 40,000 per year. The funding is intended to support researchers as they develop their scientific expertise and contribute to their academic or research careers.

What Does the Fellowship Cover?

Depending on the approved funding and individual circumstances, the fellowship can support expenses such as:

University tuition fees
Research or bench fees
Accommodation
Living expenses
Travel costs
Visa charges
Conference expenses

Eligible applicants may also receive an exceptional childcare grant for each qualifying child when the applicable conditions are met.

Selected fellows also become part of the Faculty for the Future global alumnae network, creating opportunities for professional connections and potential additional funding.

Who Can Apply for Faculty for the Future?

The Schlumberger Faculty Fellowships 2027 are specifically designed for women who are citizens of developing or emerging countries.

Applicants must not hold dual citizenship with a developed country. They should also be preparing for or undertaking a PhD or postdoctoral research program in a STEM discipline at a well-ranked university or research institution outside their home country.

Applicants should have an excellent academic record and strong academic references. Teaching experience or a demonstrated interest in teaching and pursuing an academic career is also important.

Applicants must also be enrolled in, admitted to, or have applied to an eligible host university or research institution abroad.Employees of Schlumberger (SLB) are not eligible for the fellowship.
